The intake

The eight questions of the Business Plan intake: one sentence, the kind of business, the country, price, sales, start-up costs, owner pay and funding wanted.

The intake is how a plan starts.

  1. Describe your business in one sentence. What do you sell, and to whom?
  2. What kind of business is it? Services, freelancer, shop, subscription or marketplace. It sets the shape of the first forecast.
  3. Which country is the plan for? The Netherlands, Germany or other (English, for investors). It sets the language, the order of the sections and the tax and payroll defaults.
  4. What do you charge for one sale? Hourly rate for services and freelancers, monthly price for subscriptions, average order for shops and marketplaces.
  5. How many sales per month at the start? Be modest.
  6. How much does it cost to get started?
  7. What do you pay yourself?
  8. How much do you want to raise?

The intake refuses nonsense in plain words: a zero or negative price, no customers, fractional cents, a bad month. Answered questions become confirmed cells; unanswered optional ones stay marked for you.
